The Kids Palace II Daycare & Preschool is a nurturing early childhood education center in West Orange, New Jersey, dedicated to providing children with a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where they can learn, explore, and grow.
We believe children learn best through meaningful relationships, purposeful play, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to make choices and discover the world around them.

At The Kids Palace II, we believe children are naturally curious, capable learners. Our role is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where they feel confident exploring, asking questions, making choices, building relationships, and discovering new ideas.
We encourage children to learn at their own pace while developing independence, confidence, creativity, and a positive sense of themselves.
Our Approach to Learning
At The Kids Palace II, we believe children learn best when they are actively involved in their learning. Our program follows the HighScope approach to early childhood education, which encourages children to explore, make choices, solve problems, build relationships, and learn through meaningful hands-on experiences.
Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to give children opportunities to learn through play, movement, conversation, creativity, and discovery. Teachers observe and interact with children throughout the day, using their interests, abilities, and developmental needs to create meaningful learning experiences.
Children build skills across important areas of development, including language and literacy, early mathematics, science, social-emotional development, physical development, creative arts, and approaches to learning.
A consistent daily routine helps children know what to expect while giving them opportunities to make choices and become more independent. Through HighScope’s active learning approach, children are encouraged to plan what they would like to do, carry out their ideas through play and exploration, and reflect on their experiences.
Our goal is not simply to prepare children for the next classroom. We want them to become confident, curious, independent learners who are excited to discover, explore, and learn.

Health & Nutrition
Supporting Healthy Children
We believe healthy habits are an important part of a child’s growth and development. At The Kids Palace II, we promote children’s well-being through nutritious meals, healthy daily routines, good hygiene practices, and opportunities for active play.
The Kids Palace II participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which allows us to provide nutritious meals and snacks to children in our care. Our meals are planned to meet program nutrition guidelines and support healthy growth and development.
We also work closely with families regarding food allergies, dietary restrictions, medical needs, and other health considerations to help ensure each child receives appropriate care.
Safety
A Safe & Caring Environment
The safety and well-being of every child in our care are a priority. Our team follows established procedures for active supervision, sanitation, emergency preparedness, child release, illness, medication administration, and other important health and safety practices.
Our educators receive ongoing training and work together to maintain a clean, secure, and well-supervised environment where children can comfortably learn, play, and explore.
